The problem with belief

Some people believe that aliens exist. Some people believe that science has the answers to everything. Some believe in a God. Some believe in themselves. Some don’t believe anything at all. Some are seeking, looking for answers.

Belief is a dangerous thing. Believers want you to think as they do, or think you and your views don’t matter because you don’t believe the same thing. Believers stop questioning, they don’t look for new information or try to find a clearer understanding.

It’s too easy to go from seeking for answers, to making a religion out of the answers you found, which is why all of us need to be very aware when looking for answers.

Fifth Era: The fall from heaven

In the shared mind of the Anu, it had always been difficult to keep secrets from each other, or to do one another harm.

This was still true for the first few eras of their stay on Earth, but their telepathic connection had always been based in logic and mental clarity.

Using emotion, the small group of paranoid military managed to hide their greed and growing hunger for power from the others. They planned a rebellion in a way the others never thought to look for. They plotted, stole from the scientists and tried to accrue power, then they forcefully took control.

The scientists, even though they were the vast majority, didn’t stand a chance.
